Shelley Wambo RYT 20

Shelley Wambo credits the influence of the practitioners at Good Life Wellness for her yoga journey.  Several years ago, in search of structured yoga classes to help deal her deal with weight loss and anxiety, Shelley came to Good Life and says she was happy to find a friendly, knowledgeable, and laid back community of experts in the wellness field from whom she has learned and grown.

Shelley began teaching at Good Life Wellness in February 2015 while studying yoga and completed her yoga teacher certification in the fall of 2015.  In addition to teaching regular yoga classes at Good Life, she enjoys developing and implementing wellness workshops for the Good Life community, alongside her Good Life colleagues. She considers herself to be a lifelong learner and continues to develop her knowledge in the areas of health and wellness.  In addition to teaching yoga at Good Life, Shelley leads a weekly yoga class for her co-workers at Randolph Eastern School Corporation.
In the winter of 2017, Shelley studied under Janell Foust to become reiki certified–Level One.  She is excited about the opportunity to continue to learn and develop her reiki skills by working with clientele at Good Life.
A graduate of Ball State University, Shelley has taught in the secondary classroom for more than twenty years.  In addition to teaching young people, she regularly leads professional development activities with teachers and administrators.  She has a master’s degree in education and curriculum development, and is currently working on her Graduate Certificate in Composition Studies through IU East.  When not at Good Life, Shelley is a full-time English teacher at Union City Junior/Senior High School and regularly volunteers at Richmond Civic Theater.
Marilyn Watkins
Marilyn Watkins received certification in three healing modalities during 2015. The first was Energy Body Analysis from Stacie Shepherd followed by Soul Realignment from Andrrea Hess.  In addition to Energy Body Analysis and Soul Profile and Soul Realignment, she offers readings in Soul Profile, Soul Specializations and Life Lessons, Relationships, Spirit Guide Team, and Life Situations.  These readings support clients in understanding their life purposes, in clearing blocks and restrictions that stand in the way of living up to our potential, and in working through challenging life situations.  Marilyn recently became a Third Degree Reiki Master and incorporates chakra work into each session.  Each area has deepened her intuitive skills and her commitment to working with alternative methods that support becoming our best selves.
Marilyn recently retired from 43 years as a teacher and administrator. She has a Master’s Degree in Education from Northwestern University and her Ph.D in Curriculum Theory and Instruction is from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.  Over the years, she has worked with many alternative practitioners to deal with injuries from serious car accidents and from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.  Retirement brought the opportunity to explore modalities that have supported her healing and that are newly explored areas.  She looks forward to ongoing studies of alternative practices and is honored to be a part of Good Life Wellness.

Karlye Teders, CYT, RYT has been practicing yoga for more than 10 years and became a Certified Yoga Teacher in October 2015 through ElementsLife yoga in Greenville, OH.

She is certified in both Hatha and Vinyasa styles of yoga. She is not only interested in the physical benefits of yoga but also the relaxation and mind/body benefits which the practice brings.  Her goal is to teach each posture as it is best suited to each student’s particular body type and needs.
In addition, she enjoys teaching beginner yoga workshops and has taught yoga for the Richmond Shakespeare Festival crew.  She is also the yoga consultant for the Earlham college Iceland Field Studies program.
When she is not practicing yoga, she works at the Animal Hospital of Richmond. She also cares for several dogs and cats at home who are always available to help coach her through her yoga practice, mostly by hogging the yoga mat whenever possible.
